During her rookie season, she made 19 appearances, including 12 starts, and scored twice in one of the world’s top professional leagues.
Mya burst onto the NCAA Division I scene in 2019, earning AAC Rookie of the Year, First Team All-Conference, and TopDrawerSoccer Best Freshman XI Second Team honours. Despite Covid-19 disruptions, she consistently elevated her game, earning AAC Midfielder of the Year, multiple All-Conference selections, and ranking among the conference’s top offensive contributors. In her 2023 season, Mya captured AAC Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, AAC Championship Most Outstanding Offensive Player, All-Tournament Team, United Soccer Coaches All-South Region First Team, and Scholar All-American honours. She was also on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and named Tennessee’s Hall of Fame Female Amateur Athlete of the Year, leading Memphis to an undefeated regular season, its first AAC West Division Championship, and a third consecutive AAC Championship.
Internationally, Jones has been a standout from a young age, debuting with Canada’s national team program at age 12. She competed at the 2014 CONCACAF Girls’ U15 Championship, won silver in 2016, and later represented Canada at U17 and U20 levels, solidifying her status as one of Calgary’s most accomplished soccer exports.
